Hi all,
Does anyone know if a SQL user CAL's is only for that server or would it cover for other servers too? for example I have a web based group calendar that uses SQL as backend, i have 500 users that use the web calendar so i need 500 user cals or by a SQL server licensed on cores.
But my question is, if i have another web application that uses another SQL server and the same 500 users use this application. Will 1 SQL user CAL's work per user or would i have to buy another round of 500 SQL user CAL's?
I am aware of device CAL's and based on processors, this is only in regards to user CAL's
