I like this one - it shows the true nature of developers ...
3 people in a car travelling down the famous Cortina pass in Italy (the one with all the bends) when the brakes fail. The driver manages to wrestle the car to a precarious halt overlooking a 1200ft drop. The Managing Director takes out his mobile phone says "I'll call the rescue services". The Engineer says "don't worry I have a toolkit in the boot, I'll take a look". The programmer says "tell you what, drive it down the hill and see if it happens again !"
Hope that puts a smile on your face if you're struggling with something. Remember - a developer only has 2 states of mind. Depression (when you just can't work out what's wrong with your program) and elation (when you KNOW what's wrong with your program).
