Dear Experts,
Needed your help\confirmation for the below queies regarding Microsoft SQL Server Licensing :
1. Even though SQL 2014 has been released it is presumed that SQL 2012 Licensing Policy is applicable for any fresh orders.
2. This also means that even if I require a SQL 2008\SQL 2008 R2 Requirement I Would need to place a SQL 2012 License Order.
3. For an Active-Passive Geo Cluster withing 2 DC's , I presume I would require one License for Microsoft SQL Server.
4. In case the customer has an Enterprise License available , but certain licenses need to be provisoned by the support company, in that case can it be that 9 servers have one licensing model and rest 1 has a different license model being followed for the same customer.
5.In case there is a Physical Server with AMD processor having 8 cores , I would need to provision license for 6 cores Microsoft SQL Server. Or are there any other requirements for it.
6.In case an Indiviual VM needs to be licensed reference to Microsoft SQL Server i.e for 8 vcores would need 8 Licenses or are there any other requirements for it.
Thanks in advance for looking and confirming for the above points.
