Hi,
I understand from various source that passive server in SQL Server 2008 R2 clustering is not required to be licensed as far as its not used for any query.
I would like to understand the licensing for below mentioned scenario:
Primary site (Data Center) has 2 servers configured in SQL server clustering (Active/Passive) and Secondary site (Disaster Recovery Center) has 2 servers configured in SQL server clustering (Active/passive).
The storage for servers at primary and secondary site is provided by SAN. Data from primary site to secondary site is replicated from SAN at primary site to SAN at secondary site.
please help me understand the license requirement.
