Automate Or Queuing A SQL Statement(s) To A Running Procedure

Hi friends,

Being new in case of using T-SQL for quite a large project, never had any such requirement earlier. When a very long time taking query has crossed a substantial duration and I am in need of taking some rest or have to get on some other task at some other machine, I come across a situation of confusion of being unable to check the completion status and based upon the output of the ongoing query first being successful/satisfactory run the next one(s).

Is there anyway to have a new process/sql commands batch be queued up to an on-going process?

Or, start a query automatically at a certain point of time?

And,

Any suggestion how to check the first output and start a query by itself only if the first one was successful?

Thanx in advance

Thanx in advance, Best Regards, Faraz A Qureshi
