Database "Creation Date" after restore

We backed up a database on one sql 2008 server and copied the dump to another sql server. The dump date is "9/6/2013". The database was actually restored today "09/09/2013" at 6:30am but Management Studio shows the DB "Date Created" property of 9/4/2013. I guess, then, that the database already existed on the target server and restoring (overwriting) did not change that in sql's mind. Unfortunately that is misleading as the data in the DB is not from 9/4/2013. Is there a t-sql RESTORE option that would "re-initialize" the created date to the actual data the DB was restored?

TIA,

edm2
