Sharing A Database On A Shared Location

Hi friends,

I have a SQL Server database developed on an instance installed on my local machine at office. I have added users on the same domain with appropriate rights on the same. Now I seek to have the said database be available to the colleagues with rights granted even when I'm not in office. How should I place the database on a shared location on server? Is it necessary to have an instance installed on the server? Or there could be some other workaround?
